With the “American Traces in Ankara” project, archival materials related to the effects of the American population in Ankara between 1950-1969 have been processed into a digital map, allowing for fresh encounters between the past and the present. Within the scope of this project, an interactive digital map and website have been created, providing access to the documents and photographs of the prominent locations, social and cultural contexts, along with the scholarly works relevant to the capital city Ankara during the specified years. During the design phase, we collaborated with Ufuk Önen and Sounding Off 2023 team.
