On July 11-30, 2023, at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center, together with Ece Hamat, we focused on the work that includes the existence of human beings with technology and making it an integration that is difficult to separate. We asked 75 products created by artists and academics, 'What do you think is Arkhe?' We created what we produced about the questions.
The exhibition takes place from the term 'arkhe' discussed by ancient Greek philosophers and the definition of 'artificial intelligence' co-existing with technology. Thales of Miletus was the waters of arkhe. Anaximander of Miletus was that the arkhe had something indefinite and eternal, and he called it 'apeiron'. Heraclitus of Ephesus was recorded as the 'logos' of the arkhe. Permenides of Elea, arkhe's 'being' remained eternal and permanent. Anaximenes of Miletus was the cognition of 'air', which arkhe thought was the most basic and common substance. The concept of Arkhe has also been discussed and reinterpreted by many modern and contemporary philosophers. Martin Heidegger, in his work 'Being and Time', wrote in detail about 'arkhe' knowledge and argued that the ultimate arche of human existence is 'Dasein', which is defined as a being whose own existence is known. Jacques Derrida developed the general system of 'archhe-writing' of the power of deconstruction. Michel Foucault argued that 'archae' science is the product of certain mathematical and cultural contexts and produces it as accessible through social and political structures.
